Why is the sample paid?

Every pail makes the trip from La Mosquitia the same way a drum does. Charging for it keeps the oil real and the supply honest — and the $225 comes back to you as credit on your first drum.

Is this the same oil as the drums?

Yes. Same batch, same lot, same Certificate of Analysis. A sample that is not identical to production stock is a sales trick, not a sample.

Is this cold-pressed?

No, and any supplier telling you their batana is cold-pressed is describing a label rather than a process. Traditional batana is roasted, simmered and hand-rendered. Ours is raw and unrefined, which means nothing was bleached, deodorized, solvent-extracted or added after extraction.

How fast does it ship?

Typically 1 to 2 weeks, depending on the season and current stock. It ships direct from our mill in Honduras, not from a US warehouse, and you get tracking by email the moment it leaves.
