Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information Bahtana LLC, doing business as Jungle Root Organics, collects through junglerootorganics.com, why we collect it, who else sees it, and what you can ask us to do with it. It is written to be read, not to be skipped.

1. Who we are

Jungle Root Organics supplies raw, unrefined batana oil from La Moskitia, Honduras to formulators, manufacturers and distributors. You can reach us at [email protected] or [email protected], or on WhatsApp at +504 9408-3164. We operate from La Mosquitia and Tegucigalpa, Honduras, and from the United States.

2. What we collect

• What you type into our forms. The sample request and buyer inquiry forms ask for your name, company, email address, shipping address, how you heard about us, and what you are formulating. A phone number is optional.
• What you send us. The contents of emails, WhatsApp messages and any documents you share with us.
• Order details. What you bought, the quantity, the shipping address and the delivery status.
• Basic site measurement. Page views and referrers, collected by Cloudflare Web Analytics. It does not use cookies and does not build a profile of you.

We do not run advertising pixels on this site. There is no Meta pixel, no Google Ads tag and no Google Analytics.

3. What we do not collect

We never see or store your full card number. Payment is handled by Stripe on Stripe's own checkout page, and we receive only the outcome, the last four digits and the billing name and address.

4. Why we use it

• To answer your question, send a quote, or ship a sample or an order.
• To send order confirmations, tracking and the documentation that goes with a shipment.
• To keep the business records that tax, customs and export rules require us to keep.

We do not add form submissions to a marketing list, and we do not send marketing email to an address that only asked us a question. If we ever start a newsletter, you will be asked to opt in first.

5. Who else sees it

We sell nothing about you to anyone. We share the minimum necessary with the companies that make the business run:

• Stripe for payment processing.
• Cloudflare, which serves this website and measures traffic.
• Google Workspace, which hosts our email.
• Shipping and freight carriers, and customs brokers, who need the name, address, phone number and contents in order to move and clear a shipment.
• Government authorities, when the law, a court order, or an export or customs requirement obliges us.

6. International transfers

We are in Honduras and the United States, and our suppliers are largely in the United States. If you write to us from elsewhere, your information will be handled in those countries.

7. How long we keep it

Inquiries that go nowhere are kept for up to two years and then deleted. Order and shipping records are kept for seven years, because tax and customs rules require it.

8. Your choices

Write to [email protected] and ask us to:

• send you a copy of what we hold about you,
• correct something that is wrong,
• delete your information, as far as our record-keeping obligations allow,
• stop contacting you.

We answer within 30 days. We will not charge you for asking and we will not treat you differently for asking. If you are in the EU or the UK and you think we have handled this badly, you may complain to your national data protection authority.

9. Security

We use reputable providers, keep accounts behind strong passwords and two-factor authentication, and limit who inside the company can see order records. No system is perfect, and we do not claim otherwise.

10. Children

This is a business-to-business site. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

11. Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of the page. Material changes will be described here rather than made quietly.
